The Very Reverend Sonya Boyce graduated from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin and was ordained to the priesthood on November 16, 2019 by the Rt. Reverend William Love at St. John's Church in Massena, N.Y.
Prior to ordination she worshipped and served at St. John's for more than 50 years in various capacities as lay and deacon.
Currently she also serves as the Dean of the St. Lawrence Deanery.
Mother Sonya and her husband, John, were married at St. John's and raised their two sons John and Eric here, all the while being a Kindergarten teacher.
Now she and her husband, John, live with their dog, Annie, in Louisville. Their grandchildren, Hailey, John, William and Felix bring abundant joy.

Beverly Patchin has served as the Assistant Treasurer (Bookkeeper) at St. John's since 2021. She as lived in the Lisbon-Waddington Area since 2005. She is a member of the Lake St Lawrence Art Gallery in Waddington where she displays her photography and does custom Framing.

(315)854-5358Jacquelyn Brown is a recent addition to the St John's Family. She lives in Waddington with her 2 children Abbie and Reece, a 110lb chocolate lab, Boscoe. She is a full time employee of St Lawrence County Emergency Services as a 911 Dispatch Supervisor . She also volunteers in her community of Waddington: American legion Post 420 Aux., Waddington Fire Auxiliary , and Waddington Rescue Squad where she holds the office of Chief.

Patricia Derrigo has been a Vestry Warden since June 2023, and has served on the vestry since 2021. She is a retired librarian from Fort Drum. Patty and her husband Angelo have 2 cats.

Bruce is currently on the vestry and is the church treasurer. He is also a member of the choir. He
has served St. John’s on vestry and as a church warden at different times and for different priests over
the years. He has lived in Massena since 1992. He is a retired engineer from General Motors .

Dorothy Badger
Dorothy Badger is a North Country Native who has lived in the Massena area for nearly 60 years. She spent 26 of those years teaching chemistry, physics, and earth science at Massena High School. She has been an active member of St. John’s since she retired from teaching in 1996. She has served several terms on the vestry, and has been on altar guild. She sings in the choir, and helps maintain the flower beds on church property. She has an extensive collection of rubber stamps and paper-crafting supplies, which she uses to design cards for the card ministry crafters to create.

Pam grew up in Massena, her Current ministries are Vestry, Altar Guild, Parish Life and Outreach. She currently works at On a Roll Deli (17 yrs), where she uses her talents to make wonderful meals for the community. Prior to that she worked at Homestead Dairy (13 yrs).

Clara Margosian has been a member of St. JohnsChurch since June 1963. Married to Levan Margosian for 60 yrs, mother of 2 children, Jill Ferrari and Terry Margosian. Morning Alcolyte for Fr. Willam Hendricks at the time of his priesthood at St. John's. Vestry Member since Jan 2023.

Jessica Curran
Jessica Curran has been attending St. John's Episcopal Church since 2011. Jessica grew up in the North Country, and attended many non-denominational churches before she chose St. John's. Jessica and her Husband Rod were married here. Their children were baptized at St. John’s. Jessica was Confirmed in 2019. She has served one term on the vestry and is currently serving as Vestry Clerk and a member of Altar Guild. She has also had the privilege of Representing our parish at Albany Diocesan Convention.
